In the region comprising Bogota and Cundinamarca, 28% of the companies in Colombia are created (RUES, 2021), making this region the center of entrepreneurship in the country. This section analyzes the characteristics of the dynamics of business creation in terms of: location, size, economic sector, locality and legal organization.

85.1 % of the companies created in the CCB are located in Bogota and 14.9 % in the 58 municipalities of the CCB's jurisdiction in 2025

Micro and small enterprises represent 99.9% of the enterprises created.

57.0% of the companies created in Bogota and the 58 municipalities of the CCB's jurisdiction are in service activities and 28.7% in commerce.

31.9% of the companies created in Bogotá are located in the districts of Suba (8.5%), Kennedy (7.5%), Engativá (6.2%), Usaquén (5.6%), and Chapinero (4.1%).

Most of the companies created in Bogotá are located in locations in the north of the city.

64,7% of new companies in the Bogota - Cundinamarca Region are created as natural persons.
