According to the type of legal organization of the companies created, natural persons represent the highest percentage (65.3%) of the entrepreneurial base in Bogota and the 59 municipalities of the CCB. Between January - December 2023 in Bogota and the 59 municipalities of the CCB's jurisdiction, the total number of companies created by individuals decreased by -7.1% and the number of companies increased by 4.7% compared to the same period in 2023.

Description

A company can be created as a individual or as a legal entity: the individual is the one that exercises this activity in a habitual and professional manner in a personal capacity and assumes all the rights and obligations of the commercial activity it exercises, while the legal entity or company is a fictitious person capable of exercising rights and contracting obligations, and of being represented judicially and extrajudicially. It is classified into: Limited Liability Company, Sole Proprietorship, Corporation, Limited Partnership, Limited Partnership, Limited Joint Stock Company, Simplified Joint Stock Company and Worker's Associative Company.
