Globalization today demands responsible business conduct that respects Human Rights (HR) and recognizes that compliance with this commitment is no longer an additional task to their business, but a determining factor for a sustainable business environment and competitiveness. International experience shows that this agenda is gradually ceasing to be voluntary and becoming mandatory, in which both States and markets, through investors and creditors, are demanding from companies a stricter standard of due diligence in human rights and in compliance with international standards and conduct.
