What type of call do you want to make?

In Cundinamarca, the highest emissions are generated by industry and construction.

Analysis

The department has a significant level of absorption due to the carbon balance from the growth and replanting of permanent crops. It is the fifth department with the highest emissions in the country due to transportation and industrial activities, which account for 24% of its GDP. Cundinamarca has the third largest rural concentration in the country, which is why there is a high demand for firewood obtained from the felling of natural forests. Emissions from Bogotá and Cundinamarca cannot be viewed as separate issues; the pollution generated in each territory does not stop at the departmental or district boundary. Actions to mitigate emissions must be regional in scope; together, Bogotá and Cundinamarca are responsible for 22% of the country's emissions, surpassing all the departments.
