Bogota and Colombia GDP, 2015 - 2024

Annual GDP growth in Bogotá

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Bogotá’s GDP grew by 3.0%, a figure higher than the 2.1% recorded for Colombia’s GDP in the fourth quarter; Bogotá’s GDP increased by 0.3 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, when the city’s GDP contracted by 2.7%.
In its July 2026 monetary policy report, the Banco de la República projected total and core inflation of 6.9% and 6.2%, respectively, for the end of 2026.

Gross Domestic Product grew 3.5% in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. The economic sectors that contributed most to this growth were: Public administration and defense, which grew 10.0%; Arts, entertainment, recreation, and other service activities, which grew 9.5%; and Electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply, which grew 4.8%.
