Executive presidency

Dr. Ovidio Claros Polanco, current Executive President of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, has had an outstanding professional career. He has held important roles such as Mayor, Comptroller, High Court Magistrate, Congressman, Manager of national entities, university professor, writer, and author of five legal books. His works have enriched legal knowledge and fostered debate on crucial issues, such as fiscal control as a tool for development, the relationship between fiscal control and the environment, and educational services funds.

He is a lawyer from Universidad Libre. He received an Honoris Causa in Government and International Relations from Universidad La Gran Colombia, an Honoris Causa in Human Rights from Universidad Católica Americana San Gregorio Magno, and an Honoris Causa Doctorate from UNT Mexico. Additionally, he holds five specializations in Law: Management and Auditing of Quality in Health, Public Law, Environmental Law, Criminal Law, and Administrative Law.He also holds two master's degrees in Criminal Law and Administrative Law, a doctorate in Law, and completed an executive master's degree in Marketing Management at the Escuela de Organización Industrial de Madrid (Spain).

In his current role as President of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Claros is dedicated to promoting business development in Bogotá and Cundinamarca and supporting business owners and entrepreneurs in the Popular Economy
