Monetary poverty in Colombia 2021

  • Between 2020 and 2021, monetary poverty in the country decreased by 3.2 p.p. However, it is still 3.6 p.p. above 2019.

  • In 2021, Colombia had 19,621,330 people in monetary poverty. This represented a reduction of 1.4 million people compared to 2020.

  • Compared to 2021, in 2019 there were 2.15 million fewer people in monetary poverty.
