Bogota ranks first in job placement for recent higher education graduates

Analysis

In Bogota, 82.8 % of higher education graduates enter the labor market quickly. Women (82.7%) have a higher percentage of employment than men (80.7%).

However, it is necessary to strengthen the leadership of the District Administration to articulate initiatives, resources and actions with the private sector, higher education institutions and technical and vocational training institutions, as well as with the Ministry of National Education and entities such as SENA, to expand access of young people to technical and vocational higher education, reduce dropout and ensure quality and relevance in the programs, facilitate the linkage to the labor market in quality occupations and promote entrepreneurship.
