Analysis
Our region, represented by Bogota and 59 municipalities of Cundinamarca, has 5,434 tourism service providers, of which 1,795 are travel agencies, which market tourism products for nature, cultural and wellness tourism, offering rural, adventure, ecotourism, recreational, gastronomic, wellness, religious and business tourism activities, among others. The design of packages transformed into innovative tourism experiences, which can enhance the domestic market, becomes a challenge for travel agencies and other tourism service providers, in terms of articulation, innovation and enhancement of the tourism offer both in Bogota and in the region.
Description
Law 300 of 1996, defines as tourist service providers, any natural or legal person that habitually provides, intermediates or contracts directly or indirectly with the tourist, the provision of tourist services, which is obliged to register in the National Tourism Registry before starting its operations. The obtaining of the registry will be a previous and obligatory requirement for the operation of the tourist establishments.
