Housing deficit in Bogota and municipalities of Cundinamarca

Analysis

Bogota decreased the total housing deficit from 13.4% in 2014 to 8.9% in 2021, a decrease of 4.5 percentage points. In Bogota, the qualitative deficit went from 11.0 % in 2014 to 7.8 % in 2021. The quantitative deficit went from 2.6% in 2014 to 1.0% in 2021. In the municipalities of Cota, Cajicá, Sopó, Tocancipá, Zipaquirá, among others, the total housing deficit also decreased. While in municipalities such as Chía, Subachoque, Madrid and Tabio, the percentage increased.

Description

The Multipurpose Survey updates statistical information on social, economic and environmental conditions of households and inhabitants of Bogota and 37 municipalities of Cundinamarca. In 2017, the coverage of the survey was expanded from 31 to 37 municipalities, these municipalities are: Soacha, Mosquera, Funza, Chía, Tocancipá, Cota, Sibaté, Cajicá, Madrid, Bojacá, Gachancipá, Sopó, Tenjo, Tabio, La Calera, Facatativá, Zipaquirá, Fusagasugá, Subachoque, El Rosal, Chocontá, Girardot, Guaduas, Villeta, Gachetá, San Juan de Rio Seco, Medina, Cáqueza, Pacho, La Mesa, Ubaté, Tausa, Sutatausa, Sesquilé, Guatavita, Cogua and Nemocón.
