Cosmetics and Wellness
The Cosmetics and Wellness Cluster Initiative was born in 2013 as a commitment of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, who identified the high potential of the industry and its impact on the local, regional and international economy, thanks to the number of manufacturing companies located in Bogota, 51% of which correspond to the country's business mass; the largest number of academic programs and support entities and for being at that time the ninth largest non-energy mining export sector in the country.
By 2021, the CCB redesigned the scope of the cluster, integrating the entire chain of beauty services, including ISIC 9602 (hairdressing and other treatments) and the name of the initiative was changed to Cosmetics and Wellness Cluster, because the companies in this ISIC were among the most affected by the restrictions of the covid-19 pandemic.
Likewise, the 4 strategic axes were reorganized: Internationalization, sustainability, innovation and new businesses, and human talent.
Our value proposition is for Bogota to be a leader in the production and marketing of cosmetics based on natural ingredients in both the domestic and international markets.
The products will be recognized for their excellent quality, innovation and design, and the companies for their clean production and high quality standards. The cluster will be characterized by a high level of articulation with academic, governmental and business programs.
