Pharmaceuticals and drugstores
This initiative is the strategic analysis and future agenda, which allows identifying and addressing the main aspects that limit the competitiveness of the pharmaceutical sector in Bogota, through the articulation of the business and academic sectors, as well as government entities.
The cluster is focused on the production and commercialization of excellent quality medicines, taking advantage of the favorable climate and geographic location of the city of Bogota. It stands out for having qualified human talent, complying with high production standards and international homologation standards. It will also be recognized for the development of value-added pharmaceutical products and for leading exports in Latin America.
Areas of work of the Cluster:
Improvement of production processes and standards.
Development of new business opportunities and internationalization of the productive offer.
Sector strengthening and knowledge transfer among the local R&D&I ecosystem.
Advice and accompaniment for business strengthening of the distribution and marketing channel of drugs, drugstores and health food stores.
Through these areas of work, the Cluster aims to improve the competitiveness of the pharmaceutical sector, optimizing the production and marketing of medicines of excellent quality, strengthening the sector's qualified human talent, complying with high standards of production and homologation.
