Bogotá-Region Connects with the World: Take Part in the Specialized Agenda on Clusters for Business Internationalization
Within the framework of the II International Summit and Business Roundtable of Bogotá and Cundinamarca “Global Dynamics: Businesses in transformation for competitiveness”, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce invites businessmen, entrepreneurs and actors in the productive ecosystem to participate in the specialized agenda of the Strategy of Clusters, a space designed to access knowledge, tools and experiences that allow strengthening competitiveness, identifying business opportunities and advancing business internationalization processes.
The Bogotá-Cundinamarca Cluster Strategy constitutes a productive development platform that currently articulates 20 Clusters and works with companies in internationalization, innovation, sustainability, human talent and the generation of new businesses. In terms of internationalization, the commitment goes beyond the traditional export of goods: it seeks to prepare companies, close gaps, organize and make visible their exportable offer, validate markets, facilitate connections with international buyers and allies and position the capabilities of Bogotá-Region in international markets. This allows progress in different ways, from the export of products, services and business solutions to the international circulation of knowledge, creativity and content, as well as the attraction of buyers, investors, tourists, patients, conferences and events to the region.
This vision is based on recognizing that Bogotá and Cundinamarca have companies and productive capacities that can compete globally. For this reason, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce works so that the Clusters function as true internationalization platforms, facilitating companies to reduce entry barriers, access specialized knowledge, strengthen their preparation and find concrete opportunities in new markets.
As part of this commitment, during September 23 and 24 at the Salitre headquarters of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, businessmen and experts from different sectors will meet around topics such as exports, internationalization, investment attraction and the positioning of Bogotá – Cundinamarca.
The programming includes a business panel with internationalization experiences and eight specialized workshops, designed from the needs and opportunities identified by the different Clusters.

An Agenda for Transforming Business Capabilities into Global Opportunities
Fashion, technology, tourism, sports, financial services, food safety, health, pharmaceutical, animal protection and welfare and other sectors face different challenges, but share the same need: strengthen your capabilities to innovate, compete and connect with new market opportunities.
Precisely there lies the value of the Cluster Strategy. Internationalization is not developed as an isolated action, but as part of a process that combines business preparation, closing gaps, specialized knowledge, identification of offer, validation of markets, missions, fairs, business conferences, international connections and commercial monitoring.
The results of this work are already reflected in companies that have participated in international scenarios, generated appointments and business expectations, strengthened their exportable offer and established connections with new markets.
The specialized conferences of the Third Annual Cluster Meeting constitute a new opportunity to bring this strategy to entrepreneurs and provide them with tools applicable to specific decisions of their businesses.
