NIT
Trademark registration
Tax Identification Number
In order to simplify the procedures for natural or legal persons, the NIT assignment process can be requested through the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. In that sense, you must submit the documentation specified in DIAN Resolution 52 of 2016 and Resolution 110 of 2021. If it is complete, the Chamber of Commerce will send such information to the DIAN who will assign the NIT virtually.
In the registry
In the registration as a natural person trader you must submit the form of the letter of responsibilities of the natural person and as a company the form of the letter of responsibilities of the legal entity, which can be filled out at any of the headquarters of the CCB and the original identity document of the entrepreneur or the legal representative in case of a legal entity along with a photocopy.
Subsequent to registration
After registration at the CCB, you can check the status of the RUT here and you will receive a copy to the e-mail indicated in the documentation submitted.
If the procedure is carried out through an attorney-in-fact, the original and photocopy of his/her identity document must also be attached, as well as a photocopy of the identity document of the person granting the power of attorney; the original of the special power of attorney or a simple copy of the general power of attorney, together with the certification of its validity issued by a Notary Public, when the general power of attorney has been issued for more than six (6) months.
