Launching the Cluster Digital Community

09 August 2023-Meet the digital community of clusters

Launching the Cluster Digital Community

The launch of the CCB's Digital Cluster Community was warmly welcomed by businessmen and women

On August 1, 2023, the launch of the Digital Community of Clusters of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce was held, one of the most anticipated spaces of the Business and Services Meeting for Clusters, which was attended by nearly 700 businessmen and businesswomen from the 16 clusters and where more than 300 business appointments were made.

But it is of great importance now to focus on the meaning of the term of clusters of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota; a proposal born in 2012, whose development is oriented towards the principles of shared value. This concept is aimed at the contribution of companies in the same sector to improve the economic, social and environmental conditions of a territory, through collaborative work between the productive sector, academia, government and the social sector.

In accordance with the above and with the aim of strengthening the economic sectors of Bogota - Region, a new expanded version of the Digital Community was created, with the purpose of generating valuable connections, business and interactions between the different clusters with all the necessary information in one place.

It is noteworthy that during this space, speakers Daniel Gomez, Cluster Strategy Manager of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, and Eduardo Garrido, founder and CEO of Koyag, made the presentation of the Cluster Community. In addition, it was an event that was transmitted via streaming from the Digital Community, for all entrepreneurs in the region who could not attend the launch.

Of great importance was the contribution made by the Cluster Strategy Manager, Daniel Gomez, specifying the concept of how the idea of working in a Digital Community was born, stating: "This is a community that emerged in September 2021 and is being relaunched today. This proposal appears as a result of the pandemic, taking into account that this fact had very strong negative effects globally and locally in the economy of the countries and precisely several of the economic sectors in Bogota-Region were affected; as, for example, was the case of film and music, who had an unfavorable effect on employment and sales. It was there where we took on the task of creating a Digital Community, initially thought in 3 sectors, today we are already 8 and in 2024 we will be all 16 clusters".

Thus, the Digital Community currently has more than 7,000 registered users, including more than 4,000 companies. Since its inception and to date, more than 90 events and 12 business rounds have been held. It is expected that in this expanded version the number of registered entrepreneurs will continue to grow and reach more than 14,000 active users in 2023, through the second phase of the Digital Community.

Among the main benefits of this digital space are: participating in business rounds, workshops, courses and conferences; expanding the network of contacts and receiving updated information. Therefore, if you have not yet registered, we invite you to do so through https://comunidaddigital.ccb.org.co/ so that you can interact and access all the services.

In addition, virtual meetings and business appointments will soon be held through the Digital Community. There will also be a commercial showcase, where entrepreneurs will be able to upload their products and services.

It is also noteworthy that Eduardo Garrido of Koyag, which is the company that has been accompanying the development of the Digital Community, told his experience on how companies can improve the fact of doing business and what is the role of organizations in the digital world.

Therefore, the CCB continues to bet on expanding knowledge, empowering the initiatives of companies and creating new partnerships that contribute to the development of Bogota-Region.
