Finalist and winning proposals for the Data for Security Contest Bogota 2024
First place: STAPOL - Universidad de los Andes
STAPOL, formed by Juan Kamilo Narvaez Osorio, Alejandro Castillo Ardila, Daniel Felipe Bravo Pulido, students of Economics, Political Science and Global Studies, and under the tutelage of Professor Felipe Botero Jaramillo, presented their proposal whose objective was to examine the relationships of the main variables that measure the security of citizens at different levels, with a gender approach, in addition to those that report the state and perception of public space and the provision of goods and services by the State and other relevant stakeholders.

Second place: DATA VISIONARIES - Universidad Externado de Colombia
DATA VISIONARIES, formed by Diego Felipe Galindo Ordoñez, Natali Alba Tobías, students of Data Science, and under the mentorship of Professor Alber Ferney Montenegro, presented their proposal whose main objective was to examine in detail the relationship between the perception of insecurity and its influence on the business environment.

Third place: JLM ANALYTICS - Universidad Externado de Colombia
JLM ANALYTICS, formed by María José Castillo Silva, Juan David Bocanegra Vargas, Luisa Fernanda Guevara Usuriaga, students of Data Science, and under the mentorship of Professor Manuel Andres Martinez Patiño presented the construction of an index of perception of insecurity with a gender approach in Bogota.

Tutor: German Alfonso Prieto Rodriguez
COFI's proposal focused on examining the relationship between the perception of safety, victimization, its impact on mobility and the use of public space, emphasizing the experiences and needs of women.
Finalist: LA VOZ DE LA IGUALDAD - Universidad El Bosque
Participants: Maria Juliana Moreno Avila | Laura Daniela Gonzáles Carpintero | Natalia Gutiérrez Barrera Tutor: Andrés Gustavo Cortés Nivia In the proposal of LA VOZ DE LA IGUALDAD, through the analysis of data corresponding to the Perception and Victimization Survey and the Business Climate Survey, key findings were made, such as the rates of negative perception of security and victimization over time, as well as the detailed analysis of the predominant crime concerns in Bogota.
