Event - Dispute Resolution Mechanisms Business and Human Rights
On July 16, in collaboration with the Arbitration and Conciliation Center, we held the event “Dispute Resolution Mechanisms: Business and Human Rights”. During the day, two panels of experts and eight TED Talk style talks explored the intersection between human rights and conflict resolution mechanisms such as arbitration, mediation and conciliation within the framework of the remedy pillar of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. In addition, successful experiences of companies were shared and the impact of human rights in investment arbitration cases was analyzed. The importance of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights was a central theme, highlighting the growing need to prevent, mitigate and remedy human rights impacts, in line with recent international standards.
