Contest Format
Today's environment poses complex challenges in terms of citizen and business security. Changing dynamics, coupled with a wealth of data and information sources, make the task of understanding, preventing and managing risk increasingly complex. However, within this complexity lies a unique opportunity for analysis, innovation and the proposal of transformative solutions.
The Data for security contest, organized by the CCB, was born out of the conviction that by combining the analytical skills, creativity and commitment of academic observatories, university analysis centers and students, powerful proposals can be generated that lead to a safer environment for all.
With this vision in mind, the contest Data for Security presents two challenges, each focused on a specific theme, in which it hopes participants can develop their full potential and present analysis and solutions. Each of the challenges in which groups will be able to participate will be presented below:
Challenges
Challenge 1: Security Analysis with a Gender and Public Space Approach
Challenge 2: Interrelationship between Insecurity and Business Climate
Stages
The format of the contest is designed to foster collaboration, exploration and innovation. It consists of two crucial stages. The first stage allows teams to dive into the data, analyze it and propose preliminary solutions. The second stage, focused on the presentation and evaluation of these proposals, culminates in a final event where the most impactful and promising solutions will be awarded.

Final Presentation Event
The final presentation will be a face-to-face event organized by the CCB. Each finalist team will be allotted 10 minutes to present their proposal and 5 minutes to answer questions from the panel of judges. Teams are encouraged to rehearse and prepare to be concise and clear in their presentation.
During the presentations, a panel of judges will be evaluating each proposal based on criteria defined by the organization.
Announcement and presentation of winners
At the conclusion of all presentations, the judges will meet briefly to deliberate and make a decision on the winning teams for each challenge. At the culmination of the event, a ceremony will be held to announce the winning teams. In this segment, the effort and innovation of the teams will be recognized and they will be awarded the prizes previously established by the organization and described in this document.
