On October 26, 27, and 28, 2026, the 6th edition of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce’s Student Moot Business Trial Competition will take place. This academic platform is designed for undergraduate law students at universities in Bogotá and Cundinamarca.

This competition serves as a training ground that allows participants to test their legal knowledge in a practical and competitive environment, strengthening essential skills for professional practice, particularly in legal argumentation, public speaking, writing, and body language.

Through mock hearings and the presentation of briefs, students will have the opportunity to face expert juries and take on challenges similar to those they will encounter in their future professional lives. The initiative seeks to strengthen analytical skills, time management, and the development of legal strategies through the resolution of problems related to the business sector.

In this edition, participating teams will be required to address a case related to freedom of enterprise and the legal challenges that arise in connection with its exercise within the contemporary business environment.

Participating universities will compete in various oral rounds to determine the semifinalists and finalists of the competition. The judges will evaluate aspects related to the strength of the arguments, persuasiveness, audience engagement, and legal technique of each team.

In recognition of the participants’ performance, prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place, as well as special awards for the best brief and the best speaker in the competition.
