Bogotá, September 2026. The Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, headed by Dr. Ovidio Claros Polanco, assumes the presidency of the Council of Chambers of Commerce of the Americas, by vote unanimous in the first General Assembly of this new international organization.

The Assembly was held in Bogotá with a quorum of 33 members, with the right to vote. Likewise, 10 were chosen regional vice presidencies, two for each of the regions, like this:

North America Region:

Federico Batlle, Chamber of Commerce of Salvadorans in Miami-SALCHAM.

Cameron Mackenzie, Chamber of Commerce of Puerto Rico

Caribbean Region:

Lucille Houellwmont, Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo

Raoul Behr, Curaçao Chamber of Commerce

Andean Region:

Mónica Heller, Quito Chamber of Commerce.

Eduardo Olivo, CNC Bolivia

Southern Cone Region:

Miguel Carrizosa, Chamber of Commerce Paraguayan Colombian – CAPACOL.

Padarath Jayant, Chamber of Commerce and Suriname Industries

Central American Regiona:

Karim Qubain, Chamber of Commerce and Industries by Cortés

Leticia Escobar, Chamber of Commerce of El Salvador.

Likewise, a work plan was approved for the period 2026-2027 that includes the CCCAM Summit, Business Roundtables Hemispheric Affairs, Trade Missions, the installation of the Chains Table Value, market intelligence and the creation of the Climate Barometer of regional business, as well as a new line of work oriented to the female empowerment.
