Bogotá, September 2026. The Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, with the support of the Mayor's Office of Bogotá, the Government of Cundinamarca and FENALCO Bogotá Cundinamarca, launches a new edition of Christmas Showcases, a strategy that seeks to boost seasonal sales, make visible the businesses and strengthen the commercial corridors of the region.
The initiative turns local businesses into protagonists of the most important season of the year for commerce, through a contest of decorated display cases, family tours and an ecosystem of public and private.
Merchants can participate in 13 categories: decoration and home, fashion, children's items and gifts, jewelry, gastronomy, pets, health and beauty, recreation and sports, technology, stores, hardware stores, hotels and hostels and shopping center facades. Each company can enter a single showcase, in a single category, and is responsible for decorate it according to your own business strategy.
For this edition it is expected that the impact of Christmas showcases reaching 3,000 nominated establishments, 1,900 participants, 1,000 decorated showcases, 200 juries and 2,200 visitors in the caravans, with the purpose of positioning 23 commercial corridors and the municipalities as Christmas shopping destinations.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the CCB, stated that “This is one of the main commercial visibility platforms for the end of the year in Bogotá and the region, and an example of how a territorial activation strategy can articulate merchants, local authorities and citizens around the same objective: to boost the seasonal economy.”

This coordination with the Chamber of Commerce, Fenalco and others allies allows us to turn the Christmas season into an opportunity to boost the economy of our territories.”
How to take part
The requirement to participate is to have active commercial registration and renewed, both of the company and of the nominated establishment, and be located in one of the prioritized commercial areas. In Bogotá, those areas include corridors such as Zona G and Parque de la 93 in Chapinero, Calle 109 and Calle 140 in Usaquén, Castellana in Barrios Unidos, and sectors of La Candelaria, Kennedy, Suba, Engativá and ten other towns. In the region, The call covers Chía, Cajicá, Zipaquirá, Cota, Sopó, Fusagasugá, Sibaté, Tocancipá and La Calera.
The selection process is done in two visits: the first preselects to establishments by category and location; the second defines the three finalists in each category, from which a single winner emerges. In parallel, the CCB offers window dressing workshops—in-person, hybrid and a virtual course permanent one-hour program—aimed at strengthening exhibition capabilities commercial of the participants.
The recognitions will be held on December 15 at the Center Salitre Business of the CCB. There will be Christmas caravans, which from 10 to 17 December they will tour the winning areas every night with families, collaborators of the CCB, businessmen and citizens, who can also vote for the showcase more viral.

A growing ecosystem of partners
The initiative is supported by an increasingly broad network of allies: 14 local mayors of Bogotá, ten municipalities of Cundinamarca and universities, who participate, contributing from juries to the tourist guide during the caravans. This articulation between the public sector, academia and entrepreneurship is, according to the CCB, one of the factors that has allowed the program to grow steadily since its reactivation in 2024.
