The ABC of ZASCA Reindustrialization Centers

24 April 2024Training, specialized technical assistance, access to technologies and commercial spaces and free networking, improved product design and development, and increased sales are some of the benefits of the ZASCA Reindustrialization Centers for micro-businesses, productive units, and small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

What are ZASCAs?

They are physical spaces that seek to provide comprehensive technical assistance for the popular economy and microenterprises to improve productivity, foster business growth, access new markets, promote associative processes and generate financial connections, based on the productive vocation or commercial activity according to their location.

What services do they offer?

The productive units, microenterprises and companies in general will have access to physical infrastructure; specialized machinery or technology; training and support services for the development of their productive processes; specialized accompaniment and business relationship spaces.

Under a methodology called ZASCA, developed by iNNpulsa Colombia, a team of professionals specialized in the productive sector will provide support to ensure strengthening, based on a route comprising three components: productive development, development of the self and community development.

All productive units linked to Bogota y Región will be accompanied by a business consultant from the Bogota Chamber of Commerce to strengthen their business model.

How to access?

The ZASCAs have been created from the productive heart of the regions and their localities. Ten Reindustrialization Centers are expected to operate in Bogota thanks to an alliance between iNNNpulsa Colombia and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, for each of which a beneficiary profile has been defined.

ZASCA with manufacturing vocation: aimed at MSMEs and/or productive units that meet the following characteristics:

- Whether or not they have RUT and/or commercial registration. Neither of the two cases is exclusive.

- Development of the prioritized economic activity: MSMEs and/or productive units with at least twelve (12) months of seniority in the development of the economic activity.

- Minimum two (2) people linked to the MSME and/or productive unit of legal age.

Location:

  • Suba: Manufacturing - Apparel.

  • 20 de Julio: Manufacturing - Apparel.

  • Ciudad Bolivar: Manufacturing - Apparel.

  • Restrepo: Manufacturing - Leather, footwear and leather goods.

  • Policarpa: Manufacturing - Clothing.

ZASCA with agro-industrial vocation: for organizations (associations, cooperatives, micro and small) of small producers and/or food processors that generate added value for the commercialization process and comply with the following characteristics.

- Whether or not they have a RUT and/or commercial registry. Neither of the two cases is exclusive.

- Development of the productive activity in any of the prioritized sectors, with a minimum of twelve (12) months of seniority in the development of this activity.

- At least two people, of legal age, linked to the productive unit.

- Priority will be given to those productive units that are framed under the concept of popular economy.

- Geographically located in the same municipality or locality prioritized.

- That generate added value in the commercialization process.

  • Chocontá: Agribusiness - Dairy.

  • Sabana Centro: Agribusiness - Horticulture.

  • Sumapaz: Agribusiness - Avocado.

ZASCA with technological vocation: for productive units and/or MSMEs of any economic sector, classified according to their level of technological maturity.

Technological Exploration Component: productive units and/or MSMEs in the initial stage that wish to acquire basic digital skills to generate or improve their online presence and, therefore, increase their visibility and growth.

Technological Appropriation and Transformation Component: productive units and/or Mi-SMEs with a medium level of technological maturity, who want to implement technology responding to strategic objectives or own business needs.
