The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) and the SENA Emprender Fund launch a call to support entrepreneurs from Bogotá or one of the 59 municipalities under CCB jurisdiction, who incorporate digital technology into their business models. Of the $9,000 million, $7,000 million are a contribution from the CCB and $2,000 million from SENA.

Bogotá D.C., March 15, 2023. The union of both entities has the objective of providing economic support to develop business models that create technological solutions, aimed at solving some of the gaps that prevent the socioeconomic and sociocultural inclusion of the popular economy, understanding this as natural persons, entrepreneurs, artisans, independents, street vendors and members of associated work cooperatives.

This initiative will also advise and accompany future beneficiaries with training to mitigate the risks of the first year of operation and achieve stability in the market. In addition, it will promote and accelerate business ideas with opportunity identification methodologies.

Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the CCB, assures that:

Likewise, the general director of SENA, Jorge Eduardo Londoño Ulloa, affirms that "this type of initiative helps to arouse the curiosity of young people for technology, valuable knowledge to work on innovative solutions that promote the popular and peasant economy in our Colombia of the soul".

Of the $9 billion, up to $93 million will be allocated to each business plan to finance more than 100 new companies and promote nearly 400 jobs in the country. It should be noted that these resources are forgivable to the extent that the business plan presented is fulfilled.

Some examples of startups that can apply are: entrepreneurs with FinTech solutions that promote financial inclusion; AgroTech, which strengthen the value chain of the agricultural sector, and agroindustrial and EdTech, which facilitate access to quality education for the development of skills.

As well as ideas from HealthTech that democratize access to health services and disease prevention and LogiTech that facilitate the integration of supply chains, among others, that organize their core business around data, business intelligence and digital.

Requirements to access this call:

• The residence and operation of the project must be Bogotá and/or a municipality with jurisdiction of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.

• Business initiatives and ventures will have to be in the ideation and/or prototyping phase without commercial registration.

• Comply with the other conditions established in agreement 010 of 2019 of the internal regulations of the Emprender Fund and the Terms of Reference of the Call no. 248.
