The Fashion and Logistics and Mobility Clusters of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce They obtain two first places in the National Recognition of Initiatives Cluster 2026

22 July 2026The recognitions were awarded to initiatives led by the Logistics and Mobility clusters and Fashion, which bring together companies, public entities, organizations international organizations and actors of the productive ecosystem around challenges strategic for the country's competitiveness.

The Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá obtained two first places in the National Recognition of Initiatives Cluster 2026, carried out within the framework of the National Congress of Initiatives Cluster in Duitama. The winning projects have a common element: they were developed with resources and technical cooperation from the European Union, demonstrating how international cooperation can translate into capabilities business, innovation, sustainability and new market opportunities.

The recognitions were awarded to initiatives led by the Logistics and Mobility clusters and Fashion, which bring together companies, public entities, organizations international organizations and actors of the productive ecosystem around challenges strategic for the country's competitiveness.

Strengthening of the value chain of the railway sector

In the category Linkages Productivos, first place went to the project aimed at strengthening the value chain of the railway sector, developed from of the Bogotá–Belencito corridor within the framework of the Cluster agenda and the Regional Logistics Alliance of Bogotá and Cundinamarca promoted by the Ministry of Transportation.

The initiative was executed by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, through Colombia Productiva and the EnCadena Strategy, with financing and cooperation of the European Union and Global Gateway, as part of an agenda aimed at promoting green recovery, innovation, digitization and decarbonization of logistics activity.

The project allowed us to overcome a vision of railway reactivation concentrated exclusively on infrastructure. Through a comprehensive diagnosis, mapping of the chain of value, the analysis of international references and the development of spaces for business relationship, a roadmap was built to strengthen suppliers, promote technology transfer and connect capabilities national productive sectors with the opportunities derived from new projects railways.

Among its main results are found:

  • More than

    100 actors

    strengthened their capabilities in regulations, infrastructure and technologies applied to transportation railway.

  • More than

    30 companies

    generated connections and explored commercial opportunities through a relationship pilot wheel.

  • 54 strategic actions were structured and validated to close gaps in infrastructure, operation, services, regulation and emerging technologies.

  • More than

    150 actors

    participated in socialization spaces and knowledge transfer in Boyacá, Valle del Cauca and Magdalena.

  • A methodology was designed with the potential for application in other railway corridors of the country.

The initiative linked companies tractors and load generators such as Argos, Acerías Paz del Río and Bavaria, in addition to operators, specialized suppliers, engineering firms, government entities, universities and international cooperation organizations.

Sustainability and internationalization for MSMEs in the fashion sector

The second first place was awarded, in the category Sustainability and Productive Efficiency, to project Support for sustainable development for the internationalization of MSMEs in the fashion sector of Peru and Colombia.

This initiative consolidated more than four years of work by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce in the development of a sustainability agenda for the fashion sector. Its purpose was to prepare companies to respond to environmental and productive standards required by the European market and strengthen their capabilities to advance in internationalization processes.

The project was developed together with the Sustainable Fashion Cluster of Peru and the Finnova Foundation of Spain, and mobilized more than60,000 euros from Union resources European.

Cooperation allowed develop knowledge transfer processes, technical assistance and connection with international markets. As a result:

  • 20 MSMEs

    received technical assistance specialized.

  • 15 companies

    were accompanied in their preparation to advance towards B Corp certification.

  • 10 companies from Bogotá

    participated in spaces networking with potential buyers from Spain.

  • Business capabilities were strengthened to meet sustainability requirements and access to the European Union market.

The project demonstrates that the Sustainability is not only a response to new demands regulatory and environmental, but also a platform to increase the productivity, differentiate business offerings and facilitate access to markets international.

The strategy cluster, a platform to attract international cooperation

The two recognitions show that the Bogotá–Cundinamarca Cluster Strategy not only articulates the business fabric, but also converts the challenges sectoral projects in solid, attractive and bankable projects for cooperation international.

The combination of knowledge specialized sectors, institutional capacity, articulation public-private and international relations allow attracting resources such as those contributed by the European Union and transform them into business results concrete: strengthening of MSMEs, new productive chains, technology transfer, market access, adoption of practices sustainable and scalable methodologies in other regions of the country.

This double recognition consolidates the cluster strategy as an effective vehicle to mobilize international resources towards the productive priorities of Bogotá and Cundinamarca. Rather than executing isolated projects, the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá is building a cooperation platform that connects the needs of companies with global sustainability agendas, reindustrialization, innovation and internationalization, and positions the region as a trusted partner for the design and execution of high-quality initiatives impact.
