Bogotá, May 4th 2023. Bogota Fashion Week - BFW, the commercial and promotional platform for fashion of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB), seeks to promote the circulation and commercialization of local independent design, through the strengthening of participating brands, the generation of contact spaces for business and the approach of all audiences to the work of these entrepreneurs and businesswomen.
From May 10 to 12, visitors will find 110 brands at Ágora Bogotá - Convention Center, categorized into eleven product segments: Apparel, Men's/Menswear, Ready-to-wear/Prêt-à-porter, Leather goods/Leather goods, Accessories/Accessories, Fashion Jewelry/Fashion Jewellery, Fine Jewellery, Semi-High Jewellery/Demi-Fine Jewellery, Resort Wear, Beachwear/Swimwear and Underwear/Lingerie.
The catwalks and independent fashion shows are the result of the preparation, conceptualization and follow-up time carried out during the accompaniment process with a consulting team. As a result of this process, 24 brands were selected for the central catwalk and 6 more for the Independent Fashion Shows stage. For this edition, they are presented under the Holiday/Celebration concept.
During the inaugural event, CUBEL, a design brand created by Humberto Cubides, will present the Serankwa collection, which is a journey through the weaving and embroidery techniques he has been developing with artisans from Cundinamarca and women embroiderers from Barbosa, Santander. On the other hand, from May 10 to 12, they will be present at the central catwalk (Agora - Convention Center, 5th floor):
Della Terra, with its Creatures of the Earth collection, inspired by the stories of rebels and revolutionaries who understand fashion as a political decision to overthrow paradigms.
Mother Earth, with its Legacy collection, inspired by the human being himself, and his innate need to contribute to the world and work towards a common goal.
3. Religare, with its Daughters of the Sun collection, based on our inner sun and external, radiant light, the one that gives us life, warmth, the desire to create, to germinate and the one that makes us shine.
4. Sientochenta, with its Consciente is the new black collection, celebrates the choice to be better in every decision, through garments designed to be adaptable to any style.
5. SUG - Urbano, with its Renacer collection, brings a disruptive and risky proposal, which allows it to allow history to permeate each garment it presents.
6. Laura Aparicio, with her Floresencia collection, evokes the wild woman who loves freedom and the endless green expanses of the mountains surrounding the desert, caressed by the sun and the wind.
7. MANAR Artesanías de Cundinamarca and MAZ Manuela Álvarez join human talent and their experiences to promote and expose the beauty of Colombian handicrafts to Colombia and the world.
8. Pinkfilosofy, with its Lar de sol collection, presents a range of vivid and summery colors that unfold along with this powerful and revealing light: cobalt and liberating blues; desaturated reds that allude to the passing of time and its learning; green tones that connect us with our essence and with the nature that surrounds us.
9. Andrea Saieh, with her Manhattan collection, shows the woman who walks with conviction through the streets of Manhattan, who dreams big, never stops and always looks modern and sophisticated.
10. Project Adamo, with its Tempus collection, is inspired by the inevitable cycles of the natural world and our own human lives. The collection visualizes this concept literally through striking circular shapes and a wide range of unusual colors ranging from vivid to neutral.
11. Tarpui, with its Intuition collection, takes us through textures, colors and silhouettes on a journey through the mysteries of the symbols of ancient cultures, balance, dynamism, protection, harmony, divinity, are part of this journey.
12. Tejidos Rebancá, with its Bosque de Gaque collection, presents its collection based on the gaque (clusia multiflora), a tree closely related to the water sources in the territories of Boyacá and Cundinamarca, and its presence shows the state of conservation of an ecosystem, as well as the relationship it has had with the human being.
13. Zorro Gris, with its collection Untitled, 2023, reflects on gender roles. It proposes an aesthetic game that tries to fade the traditional codes about masculine and feminine.
14. Cala de la Cruz, with its Sonne collection, tells the story of an island paradise. An imaginary place where the colors of the sunset in the sky meet the turquoise of the sea and the swaying of the movement of the palms.
15. Camilo Franco, with his Faith & Devotion collection, dazzles this collection with an androgynous look, which projects our sartorial essence; a stylistic twist full of symbolism with an exquisite execution of each of his pieces.
16. Andrea Landa, with her Zingara collection, is born as a gypsy dance where the fluidity of rhythm and dance, the spontaneity and harmony of a good improvised son, the lightness of a nomadic life free of ties full of hurling and experimentation, the transformative force of passionate love, and a traveling folklore full of culture and tradition that no matter where it goes retains its roots.
17. Saudade de Você, with its collection La vadadeira, makes a collection of its best sellers and interprets its silhouettes with cheerful and bright color combinations.
18. Mola Mola, with its Beach club collection, presents a collection inspired by the feeling of life on the beach in the 80's in Santa Marta, Colombia.
Mio Coral, with the La sirène collection, inspired by the mysticism and connection of a woman and the sea, explores and refreshes the romanticism and beauty of the 40's at the seashore through a game of printed and handcrafted textures along with fluid and feminine silhouettes.
20. A Modo Mio, with the collection Cambio de piel, is inspired by women who want to be ready for any situation. The garments seek to be versatile and unique.
21. Atelier Crump, with its collection El jardín, shows how thoughts emerge like climbing plants and are entangled with the emotionality of its flowers.
Waimari, with its Hilos collection, explores a story that will not be written in the leaves of a book, but in the leaves of a tree, worthy of being indelibly carved in the wood of life.
Jorge Duque, with his collection Discurso, presents saturated colors with a great presence of black, gold, walnut wood and its mixture with vibrant and luminous colors, arranged in all kinds of materials.
