On June 29 and 30, the Inclusive Employment Macro-Roundtable will be held in Pavilion 4 of Corferias, focused on closing gaps for women, young people, people with disabilities and sexually diverse population. The event will have a special offer in technology vacancies, one of the fastest growing industries in Bogota and which presents a greater demand for skilled human talent.

The event, organized by the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, the Secretariat of Economic Development, Invest in Bogota and the Inter-Gremial Committee of Bogota and Cundinamarca, will be attended by 80 companies offering more than 10,000 job vacancies.

It also has the support of the Secretariat of Women of Bogota, the Secretariat of Social Integration of Bogota, the High Council for Women's Equity, Colsubsidio, Compensar, Cafam, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the LGBT Chamber of Commerce, the Colombian Association of the Gastronomic Industry -Acodrés- Bogota, the National Businessmen's Association of Colombia -Asociación Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia- (ANECC), the Colombian Businessmen's Association of Bogota, and the Colombian Association of the Gastronomic Industry -Acodrés- Bogota, Asociación Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia- ANDI- Bogotá, Cundinamarca and Boyacá, Asociación Hotelera y Turística de Colombia -Cotelco- Bogotá and Cundinamarca Chapter, Cámara Colombiana del Cemento y Concreto -Procemco-, Cámara Colombiana de la Energía- CCE- and Federación Nacional de Avicultores- Fenavi- Bogotá Chapter.

For the Comité Intergremial de Bogotá y Cundinamarca, "this is an essential strategy for the consolidation of the economic reactivation of the city that has more than 22 allied entities from the private sector, social sector and the district and national public sector, as a commitment to contribute to the elimination of gaps in access to employment that differentially affect women, young people, people with disabilities and LGBT people".

"It is a fact, the city is in the process of consolidating the economic recovery and we continue to grow at double digits, in the first quarter of 2022, the GDP grew 11.5% compared to the same period of 2021 and already accumulates a growth of 13% compared to 2019, however, it is essential that this growth is reflected in more jobs, as we have a commitment to several populations that since before the pandemic already face obstacles to enter the labor market. These types of strategies between the public and private sectors are an opportunity to reduce these obstacles and help companies find human talent," said Alfredo Bateman, Secretary of Economic Development of Bogota.

In addition, the event will have an academic agenda, which includes workshops with tools for a successful job search, and panels on the inclusion of diverse population in companies, labor market trends in technology, among other topics. Representatives from Best Buddies, Sierra Nevada, Beat, Microsoft, Procafecol, Aequales, among others, will participate in the event.

María Isabella Muñoz, executive director of Invest in Bogota said that "the Macro employment roundtable is of utmost importance for the city, as it allows companies to connect with Bogota's labor force, composed of more than 6.3 million people. In this case, the roundtable has a special emphasis on technology, one of the most dynamic sectors in the city, which concentrates 60% of the companies in this sector in the country".
