Bogota, July 2023. The Gastronomic Festival of Bogotá and the Region, led by the CCB, seeks to promote, promote and develop gastronomy, tourism and its productive chains as strategic sectors of the city's economy.
In the 2023 edition, the festival seeks to identify and select at least 140 companies and/or establishments related to gastronomy, 100 in Bogotá and 40 in the province of Sabana Centro in Cundinamarca. The municipalities in the Region are: Cajicá, Chía, Cogua, Cota, Gachancipá, Nemocón, Sopó, Tabio, Tenjo, Tocancipá and Zipaquirá.
The business models of the selected gastronomic establishments will be intervened from the business and technical point of view, and we will promote their commercialization through strategies to activate their offer added to tourist and cultural attractions in their area of influence.

Categories:
Signature cuisine / Gourmet / Haute Gastronomy: are those gastronomic establishments in which the Chef is capable of expressing his own style through his cuisine. These businesses invest in knowledge, quality, service, offering a differential customer experience. It is usually a kitchen committed to the story and to exalting the product-producer chain.
Casual Kitchen / Fast Food: Establishments or restaurant chains that design their culinary experience based on preparations with quality ingredients, maintaining an informal kitchen, but giving priority to the products and the customer experience. This type of establishment bets on creative and local concepts. His promise is that the speed and informality of the service does not sacrifice complex, healthy or exclusive preparations. It also applies to restaurants without table service (fast casual).
Traditional cuisine: establishments that predominate in their specialty dishes, cooking techniques or traditional preparations of Bogotá - Region or regions of Colombia.
Popular restaurant or local “corrientazo”: establishments where its offer focuses on the common, simple and popular. The homemade menu is traditional and varies on the days of the week, offering diners different options. It is an economical and relatively balanced option for those who do not have time to cook and prefer fresh food. Its offer commonly includes a soup or salad, a main course, a dessert and a juice, and the most determining factor in this category is usually the cost/benefit ratio.
Pastry shops / Bakeries / Pastry shops: establishments where their main offer is focused on the preparation of bread, pastry or confectionery, highlighting the use of local ingredients and artisan or traditional production methods.
Cafés: commercial establishments where their central offer is coffee as a drink and that offer an experience to the client through knowledge of the product, making use of different techniques or preparations. They usually accompany the coffee offer with other associated food products.
Craft breweries: commercial establishments dedicated to the manufacture and sale of craft beers.
Gastrobars or Restaurants with Live Music: commercial establishments whose main economic activity consists of the sale to the public of alcoholic beverages, accompanied by prepared foods and that usually promote and facilitate the customer an experience accompanied by live music shows and the like.
Hotel restaurant: gastronomic establishment, particularly located inside or next to the hotel and whose menu offer is especially aimed at staying tourists.

Commitments and obligations:
Fill out 100% of the application form to link your gastronomic establishment. Remember, this form is not an evaluation and therefore there are no good or bad questions. We seek, through your answers, which show your experience and trajectory in the sector, to get to know your business and gastronomic offer better and thus identify the establishments that will go through a curatorial process with mentors to select the 130 establishments that will be selected. mentoring process to select the 130 finalist establishments. Share and provide all the necessary information about the gastronomic establishment, beyond the information registered in the application form, in view of the curatorship process that will be carried out with the pre-selected companies and later, in the process of business and technical accompaniment. The 130 selected establishments must attend (in person and virtually) the 10 hours of specialized support that GastroFest will provide through mentors from the sector. Provide all the information necessary for the CCB to know and measure the real impact and benefit of the intervention in their business and the festival in general.
Terms of participation:
Be aware of your interest and recognize the value offer of the festival for your business.
Apply your business or gastronomic establishment according to defined categories. Wait for contact from the CCB to be part of the group of 130 gastronomic establishments of this 2023 edition of Gastro Fest.
Comply and attend the 10 hours of specialized accompaniment offered by the festival.
Prepare, taking into account the recommendations of the accompaniment process, the menu or gastronomic offer that you applied to the festival.
Have the time and maintain a service attitude in your establishment during the activities of the festival, as well as during the days that the festival will be operating.
To provide comments, recommendations and observations so that our festival continues to improve in each edition.
