The Bogota Chamber of Commerce celebrates the progress that the city is making in terms of entrepreneurship and will continue with its commitment to make Bogota the entrepreneurship capital of Latin America.
Precisely, from June 15 to 17, the CCB will hold the GOFest Entrepreneurship Festival at Ágora Bogotá for entrepreneurs and businessmen to be inspired by the best and learn about market trends in order to be sustainable and competitive. Those interested can register here.
StartupBlink, the world's most comprehensive startup ecosystem mapping and research center, today announced the launch of the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2022, the most comprehensive annual Index of the global startup economy to date, covering 1,000 cities and 100 countries.
According to the report, Bogota had a substantial jump of 7 places in the index, from 77th to 70th globally, and ranks fourth in South America.
Eli David, CEO of StartupBlink stated that "these results from Bogota serve as an inspiration for other Latin American cities wishing to scale startup-based economies. Bogota is demonstrating the ability of Colombian entrepreneurs to create immensely successful and impactful projects".
Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, stated that:
"This is great news and evidence of the resilience of our entrepreneurs and the efforts of the Bogota ecosystem that supports them. From the CCB we will continue working to promote entrepreneurial activity in Bogota - Region and thus contribute to the positioning of the city as the "Capital of entrepreneurship and innovation".

In terms of e-commerce and retail, Bogota ranks 35th worldwide. Colombia moved up 3 places this year, ranking 44th globally and 4th in South America.
