Bogota, February 2024. The Chamber of Diversity awarded the Bogota Chamber of Commerce the Friendly Biz certification seal for its leadership in inclusion and diversity, guaranteeing that its work environment offers spaces free of discrimination to all its clients.
This important recognition comes after a year of continuous work in which the entity built a route towards diversity, a decision that today will allow the CCB to become the first Chamber of Commerce in the country to receive this corporate seal.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, stated that "The Friendly Biz certification is an important milestone for the fulfillment of the commitment to gender equity, diversity and inclusion of the Sustainability and Shared Value Policy of our entity, as it represents the different efforts of the entity to contribute to overcoming gender barriers and exclusion of different populations".
Felipe Cárdenas, president of the Chamber of Diversity, said that "With this seal the CCB is aligned with international standards in equity and inclusion and joins the 124 companies that today have this recognition. Being the first Chamber of Commerce with this certification encourages the private sector to follow this example at the national level".
To achieve this Seal, 5 stages were completed, including: updates and adjustments in the processes of the mission areas and training in customer service for the employees of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, as well as hidden customer exercises to verify that adequate and respectful attention was given to all citizens.

Inclusion actions
The CCB has led actions such as providing training services for entrepreneurs, mentoring for companies and ventures that serve diverse and inclusive markets. This initiative has strengthened the areas of marketing, marketing and communication for 150 businessmen and entrepreneurs of the LGBTIQ+ population of Bogota and 59 municipalities of Cundinamarca. It has also provided spaces for marketing and increased sales for these entrepreneurs.
To strengthen this commitment, the CCB has carried out actions such as inclusive business opportunity fairs such as Wetrade; inclusive employability workshops with Expotalento Diverso e Inclusivo to unite supply and demand of vacancies; among others.
