The International Fashion Week of Andalusia dresses in Bogotá

20 May 2026Seven designers from the popular economy of Bogotá will represent Colombia at the Andalusia International Fashion Week. They are: Mónica Fonnegra, Cueros Unipiel, Cardiaca, Saág, Plur, Dunia Shoes and Revolución Urbana will present their collections at the emblematic Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.

Bogotá, May 20, 2026. Seven Bogotá brands arrive on the fashion circuit European to present his collections at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, in Madrid, during the 25th edition of the International Week of Fashion in Andalusia (SIMA 41). The delegation is made up of Monica Fonnegra, Cueros Unipiel, Cardiaca, Saág, Plur, Dunia Shoes and Revolución Urban.

This participation is part of [PUENTE] International, a program of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá (CCB) focused on internationalizing the talent of the popular economy and transform local enterprises into projects exporters. After a curatorial and mentoring process by the CCB, the brands arrive in Spain with commercial proposals adapted to the demands of the European market.

The initiative responds to the strategy of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce to position the regional creative economy in global scenarios, showing that talent local has the quality and the identity to compete internationally.

Mónica Fonnegra

Mónica Fonnegra Alarcón is a pioneer designer in sustainable fashion and sustainable luxury in Colombia, recognized for integrating art, circular economy and textile innovation in pieces of high aesthetic value made with haute couture techniques. The collection that will be presented is called Matria – The womb of the world, which, inspired by nature, ancestral communities and the regeneration of matter, uses fluid silhouettes, sculptural volumes and enveloping constructions that simulate a shelter or birth.

Unipiel Leather

Diana Ruiz Martínez began her career in 1998 as a furrier and founded Cueros Unipiel as a venture family that evolved from marketing to the creation of clothing and leather goods. The collection presented in Madrid is Bakata: the heartbeat of earth next to cement, inspired by relationship, contrast and coexistence between the Andean natural environment and the urban development of Bogotá, connecting the ancestral heritage with contemporary life.

Carolina Díaz Cadena has more than ten years of experience in independent fashion and designer design. Your brand offers conceptual alternative style designs with glamorous touches, productions in limited units and responsible practices with the environment environment. Santiago Herrera Cortés is a designer who since 2014 has developed his practice at the intersection between fashion, image and creative direction, articulating his work with the photography and illustration. The collection he brings to Madrid is Punto Apart, that reflects on identity and the relationship between the body and movement through refined silhouettes, defined cuts, controlled deconstruction, subtle overlaps and a strong commitment to sobriety and chromatic timelessness.

Liliana Bohorquez is over 25 years of experience in the industry, and develops garments from the universe sartorial with a modern and sophisticated approach for women. The collection that brings to Madrid is Cosmovisión Muisca: Chicha, a proposal that reflects about how its meaning transforms according to the historical context.

Dunia Shoes

Argemiro Castrillón Restrepo is a designer who focuses his focus on products that integrate elegance, sophistication and comfort through artisanal excellence, innovation and customization. The collection he takes to Madrid is called Alma Inquebrantable, which is inspired by resilience and the capacity for transformation of the human being in the face of adversity, seeking to represent the inner strength of a woman who evolves and moves forward with determination.

Urban Revolution

María Camila Mossos Castro is the designer and creative director of Revolución Urbana, a firm that based on the circular economy, transforming urban waste highly contaminants in functional and durable products.
