Bogota, September 2023. The Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce is holding the VI version of the National and International Congress on Dispute Resolution, a Center for the Americas, in the city of Barranquilla, the ideal epicenter to bring together lawyers, businessmen, investors, experts in mechanisms and, of course, citizens. The event will take place on October 4, 5 and 6 at the Puerta de Oro Convention Center.

Gustavo Andrés Piedrahita, director of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the CCB, said: "This year we decided to host our congress in Barranquilla because we recognize the city as a place that offers ideal conditions for business, entrepreneurship and the positioning of Colombia in the region; ideal context to understand that the Dispute Resolution Mechanisms are strategic allies for the sectors that group the free zone, emerging sectors and entrepreneurs throughout the industry".

The agenda is focused on discussing the impact of conflict resolution in emerging and transitional sectors that consider arbitration, amicable composition and mediation as the most suitable ways to reach agreements that promote negotiation, contract sustainability and legal certainty.

The national and international experts invited to this event have different profiles: company presidents, industry representatives and leaders in conflict resolution mechanisms. All of them will meet in multidisciplinary panels to discuss from different angles issues related to economic conditions, legal reforms and the movement of markets.

The Center has designed an agenda with different spaces for discussion, networking and TED talks that offer attendees a rigorous level of expertise, technical and academic sessions that have been accompanied with spaces for entrepreneurship in which entrepreneurs from the region have been invited for a business showcase.

This event is traditionally attended by the most important lawyers in the country, the most representative sectors and young people who already foresee that in the Dispute Resolution Mechanisms is the space of justice that offers more confidence, development and innovation to face the legal conflicts of this time and the future.

During this event, the Center will celebrate 40 years of work, positioning and promotion of other forms of justice through Conflict Resolution Mechanisms. Therefore, the Center extends an invitation to all those interested in being part of this event and this meeting that brings together in the same scenario the most representative jurists and businessmen.
