La CCB

- According to the Tourism Cluster of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Bogota and the 58 municipalities under the jurisdiction of the CCB are home to 11,225 tourism companies.
- At ANATO, visitors will be able to learn about the best of tourism in Bogota and Cundinamarca, highlighting its offers in nature, culture and gastronomy, with the aim of generating contacts and business opportunities.
Bogota, February 18, 2025. The most important tourism event in Colombia begins, bringing together the world to explore the wonders of Bogota and the country. This is the ANATO Tourism Showcase 2025, to be held from February 26 to 28 at Corferias.
Tourism and entertainment are engines of development that influence multiple sectors of the economy, acting as major generators of employment with the potential to transform communities and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.
A golden opportunity to showcase the qualities of this offer is the 44th edition of ANATO's Vitrina Turística, Colombia's main tourism fair.
The participation of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) in the fair, in coordination with the District Institute of Tourism (IDT) and in the context of the 'Bogota your home' campaign, is part of a robust 360 strategy to position Bogota and Cundinamarca as world-class tourist destinations.
The scenario will be the 135 square meter stand of the CCB and the IDT, where, for three days, 60 entrepreneurs, distributed in groups of 20 per day, will have access to an attractive and comfortable physical platform. A perfect space to present their broad portfolio, related to entertainment, culture, gastronomy, sports and business tourism, to a large number of specialized visitors.
On the first day, the CCB and IDT will focus on culture and entertainment. On the second day, the protagonist will be sustainability. And on the third day, the focus will be on gastronomy.
The president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Ovidio Claros Polanco, said that “Bogota and Cundinamarca are versatile destinations, with a broad and diverse portfolio for vacation tourism, covering from nature tourism, through competitive advantages such as creative districts associated with entertainment, music, culture and gastronomy, to MICE tourism (meetings tourism or Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Exhibitions Industry)”.
For his part, Andrés Santamaría, director of the IDT, said, “These indicators - 11,225 companies, more than 100,000 jobs and a contribution of $2.9 billion to GDP - demonstrate the real and tangible impact that tourism has on Bogota's economic growth and job generation,” said Andrés Santamaría, director of the Bogota Tourism Office.”
The collaboration between the CCB and the IDT, established through a Memorandum of Understanding signed last year, goes beyond joint participation in ANATO. This alliance encompasses several strategic actions, such as the community tourism project, which has an impact on the Bronx and other areas of the capital; the “More sustainable and competitive tourism” project, supported by Swiss cooperation resources; the promotion of the nature offer; and RVMBO, a business roundtable to be held next September, which will be preceded by familiarization trips for international tour operators.
