Bogota, May 2025. With the aim of making visible and strengthening initiatives, programs and projects associated with the popular and solidarity economy, as well as praising the work of small businesses, producers, establishments and other actors in this population segment, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) will hold the second edition of +Talante on July 17, 18, 19 and 20 at the Agora Bogota Convention Center.

The executive president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Ovidio Claros Polanco, stated that “from the Bogota Chamber of Commerce we are focusing much of our efforts to strengthen the business fabric and promote the popular and solidarity economy. This annual meeting, now in its second edition, is the first of its kind and a fundamental part of a comprehensive strategy created by the CCB to support small merchants, producers and establishments, in order to increase their sales, boost the growth of their businesses and improve their quality of life”.

Under the concept 'I am popular', citizens will be able to enjoy, free of charge, an attractive agenda that seeks to strengthen the country's business fabric, which is made up of the following five components:

- Marathon of consultancies: in a single space, entrepreneurs of the popular economy will find free consultancies to improve the management of their businesses and ensure their growth. With a team of experts and the participation of different entities, attendees will have access to specialized knowledge and tools to implement business solutions for business growth.

- Financial Connection Day: with the support of the Banca de las Oportunidades, attendees will be able to learn about credit and financing options tailored to their needs through a financial connection day. The different participating entities will offer more than 500 appointments to review possible options for accessing financing for the popular economy.

- Employability Day: this is a space to connect those who belong to the popular and solidarity economy in order to improve their chances of finding employment opportunities.

- Experiential spaces and access to commercial platforms: support will be provided to entrepreneurs so that they can increase their sales by creating content for their social networks and make the leap to the digital world.

- Trade show: 350 entrepreneurs from the popular economy will be able to showcase their products and generate new business. This is an opportunity to support the talent and drive of national businesses, as well as the bets arising from projects to facilitate access to productive autonomy and, in this way, to generate income.

It is worth noting that different entities join this bet by supporting the participation of companies from their regions in the trade show.

In addition, +Talante will feature the following spaces:

Farmers' Markets.

As is already a tradition within +Talante, these markets will bring to the city the best of the countryside, thanks to entrepreneurs and associations of the popular and solidarity economy.

The following components are also scheduled:

- Workshop agenda: specialized workshops led by experts to add actions to promote the growth and visibility of the popular economy as a mechanism to expand the business base, seeking to promote better business practices in productive units.

- Colombia Street: this space will serve as a source of inspiration for small businesses as they will be able to observe how to display their products and learn stories of entrepreneurs who started in the popular economy and have grown, among others. Businesses such as bakeries, hardware stores, stores, markets (Fruver), hairdressers, fashion or handicraft stores, accompanied by street vendors, will simulate the atmosphere of a popular economy street.

- Cultural exhibition: different creative and artistic expressions will be presented and the talent of the regions. Representatives from all over the country will participate and projects focused on facilitating productive insertion processes will be shown.

- Associativity Meeting: a space dedicated to strengthening the popular and solidarity economy through collaboration, knowledge exchange and the creation of strategic alliances, aimed at associations, grassroots organizations, community leaders and any person or entity interested in the popular economy and associativity as an engine for development.
