Bogota, May 2025. The eighth edition of Bogota Fashion Week - BFW, a program for the promotion and circulation of the fashion sector of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB), ended successfully on Thursday, May 22, with the attendance of 31,000 people in Agora Bogota - Convention Center, and more than 20,000 views of the catwalks on streaming platforms. This edition was attended by 70 national and international guests, sectoral experts in the Conversations academic segment, as well as the participation of 140 brands and 80 buyers from 22 countries who met in business meetings.

At the Wholesale Business Roundtables, a space dedicated to strategic meetings to connect supply and demand in the local and global markets, more than 1,000 appointments were held between participating brands and buyers from countries such as the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Mexico. In total, business expectations were generated for US$4 million in the short and medium term, a figure that is expected to grow to US$10 million in the next 12 months.

The Multibrand Store, a space for on-site marketing of the most successful collections of the participating brands, served as a great retail showcase for BFW attendees, with a turnover of more than 200 million Colombian pesos.

The third edition of [P U E N T E ], an initiative of the CCB that seeks to promote the integration of entrepreneurs from the popular economy textile sector in Bogota and Cundinamarca, was attended by 11 entrepreneurs from Restrepo and San Victorino. This collective presented its fall-winter collection and some of the brands will be part of two iconic fashion weeks such as New York Fashion Week and the Madrid Fashion Fair (MOMAD) in September 2025, presenting their spring-summer 2026 collections.

Buyers speak

Pamela Duque, (Nully - United States), said: "It has been a very rewarding experience, from the conceptualization of the spaces, to the selection of participating brands. We had the opportunity to meet each brand and its designers to understand in depth their creative proposals and do business".

María José Concha (Coco Label - Chile), said: "I am very pleasantly surprised because there is a very developed and nurtured market, especially in the world of special events. The handicrafts and ancestral work of the brands in Colombia can work very well in the Chilean market".

Fernanda Almaraz (Cult Mia - England), said: “What has most caught my attention is the great interpretation that designers have in Colombia; their ability to resignify in such an original way their own techniques is very refreshing because you do not find this easily in other places”.

The designers speak

Nicole Arteaga (Bamboleira), said: "Our experience at BFW has been very good. The flow of people is constant and the negotiations we have achieved have allowed us to grow the expectations we have for this year".

Lina Rojas (Luxofilus Joyas), said: "We had meetings with buyers that opened the doors to business that we had not been able to do before and we met with people who knew us thanks to the Multibrand Store. BFW is a great space to make ourselves known".

Susana Hoyos (Soul Intimates), stated, "Participating in BFW allows us to meet other brands, be closer to the industry, discover more creative proposals and, above all, connect with buyers who have given us new opportunities for expansion. It is an incredible experience.
