Bogota, April 2025. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB), in alliance with the Spain-Colombia Council Foundation (FCECo), will hold next Monday, April 28, 2025, at its Chapinero Business Center, the 1st Spain-Colombia 2025 Forum: “Shared Strategies for a Future of Opportunities”, a high-level meeting that will bring together government representatives, business leaders and academic experts from both countries.
This meeting seeks to become an appointment within the bilateral agenda, promoting strategic dialogue and the consolidation of alliances in priority sectors such as innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, infrastructure and economic cooperation.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the CCB stated that “The Spain-Colombia Forum is a space for connection, exchange and generation of opportunities between the two countries. From the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, we reaffirm our commitment to the internationalization of the business fabric, especially MSMEs, to facilitate their insertion in value, investment and knowledge networks, boosting their competitive development,” he said. For her part, the former Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trinidad Jiménez, President of the FCECo, said that “The Fundación Consejo is a high-level platform for meetings between public and private actors, a privileged channel for public diplomacy and dialogue between our political, business, academic and cultural communities. In an increasingly interconnected and complex world, it is essential to weave networks based on shared values, mutual trust and vision for the future.” The agenda includes three thematic sessions that will address: opportunities for bi-regional cooperation, the role of technology and innovation in business sustainability, and the evolution of the business climate in both countries. Among the guests will also be representatives of companies and institutions such as Telefónica, Indra, Sacyr, Grupo Ortiz, BBVA, and organizations such as the European Union and the Carolina Foundation.
This forum is part of the CCB's strategy to project Bogota and the region as a reliable and competitive business hub in Latin America, strengthening its international ties and creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs.
