The Bogota Chamber of Commerce brings to Bogota the largest startup competition in Latin America to Bogota

03 November 2023-The Bogota Chamber of Commerce and Startup Cup Regional Latam, the world's largest entrepreneurship cup, will be held on November 4 and 5 in Bogota, the startup competition that celebrates innovation and technology is already in Latin America and is open to entrepreneurs of all ages.
-Citizens, entrepreneurs and startups will be able to attend workshops and conferences at the Salitre Business Center of the CCB to promote the mindset and culture of entrepreneurship and innovation with topics in artificial intelligence, web 3.0 and metaverse, Hacking Art Fest and Tech Genius Fest (kids zone), among others.

Bogota, November 2023. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce has set out to contribute to the positioning of Bogota and its region as the capital of entrepreneurship and innovation in Latin America. To this end, in addition to developing programs to strengthen the business fabric with a focus on MSMEs and startups, and contributing to the organization of spaces that consolidate the ecosystem, it also supports the organization of world-class events that promote high-impact entrepreneurship.

This is why the CCB is bringing the largest startup competition in Latin America to Bogota on November 4 and 5 at the CCB's Salitre Business Center. Those who participate will have the opportunity to compete for a place in the grand finale in San Francisco, California, and win a prize of USD $1,000,000. This is an invitation to all people who are thinking about entrepreneurship as a way to generate income in a sustainable way.

Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the CCB stated that "From the CCB we understand that the creation of companies is the path to local and national growth, which is why we promote productive and social entrepreneurship initiatives within the framework of the National Government's Reindustrialization Policy that seeks to achieve a knowledge-based, productive and sustainable economy for the greater benefit of all. We promote the incorporation of technology and innovation to improve business models and generate income in a sustainable manner".

He added that this event becomes an opportunity to give visibility and access to resources to this type of entrepreneurship at a global level.

Bill Reichert, one of the event's judges and one of the world's largest investors, commented that: "This event represents a unique opportunity to highlight the diversity of talent and innovative ideas that are emerging in Latin America. I am excited to contribute to this experience and help identify the most promising startups in the region".

During this event, not only startups will participate, but also the general public is invited to the workshops and conferences to promote the mindset and culture of entrepreneurship and innovation with topics in artificial intelligence, web 3.0 and metaverse, Hacking Art Fest and Tech Genius Fest (kids zone), through the following spaces:

  1. Startup World Cup LATAM regional: During the competition, the best companies will be selected, and the regional finalists will have the opportunity to exhibit at the prestigious Grand Final event to be held in San Francisco between November 28 and December 1, 2023.

  2. StartUp Accelerator: Inspirational space through conferences and panels with international speakers. Some of the featured talks:

  • The Art of Internationalization - Bill Reichert: Partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures, focuses on advanced technology investments. He is the Chief Evangelist of Startup World Cup and co-author of "Getting to Wow!", with 20 years of experience as a venture capitalist and teaching experience at Stanford and Berkeley.

  • Strategic Business Analytics - Alfonso Pinzon: VP of Strategy and Intelligence at boutique consulting firm Raw Insight, where he leads analytics-driven strategy architecture in global markets.

  • Keynote Data and our Augmented World: How The Metaverse Will Impact Big Data- Amy Peck: Founder and CEO of EndeavorXR, expert in XR, Metaverse and Blockchain. Recognized thought leader and advisor to Fortune 500 companies. Her mission is to democratize technology to improve the lives of all.

3.Tech Genius Fest - Technology Festival for Young Talents: this is a two-day event designed to foster creativity, critical thinking and problem solving in children and young people through challenges in robotics and programming.

4. Hacking Arts Festival: a space to foster creativity and innovation in the field of Hacking Arts, providing a platform for participants to showcase their creative and technological projects. Participants in Hacking Arts Projects have the freedom to explore a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies to create their artistic masterpieces.

5. Artificial Intelligence, Web 3 and Metaverse Hackathon: there participants will dive into the realms of Artificial Intelligence, Web 3 and the Metaverse. It is a unique opportunity to showcase your technical prowess, creative thinking and problem solving skills.
