The first cycle of Todos Unidos closed with more success than expected. This business volunteer program in which vice presidents, directors, managers and other leaders of Corona, Sodimac Colombia, Colombina, Alpina, Bavaria, Grupo Argos, Grupo Bolivar Davivienda, Tigo and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) participate as mentors of small and medium-sized companies was developed with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and contributing to the reactivation of the country.
The Todos Unidos initiative was launched at the end of July 2021 and at the end of the four months of the first cycle, it had a positive impact on more than 430 micro and small companies through 52 individual consultancies, 10 advisory committees and 32 consultancies within the framework of speed dates and 12 virtual talks in which more than 500 people from different SMEs participated.
A total of 88 mentors from these 9 companies donated 350 hours to complement and strengthen the capacities of the entrepreneurs of the various micro and small businesses during the first cycle of Todos Unidos. Volunteers from the 9 companies shared their knowledge on strategy and innovation, marketing and sales, financial planning, productivity and transformation.
Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the CCB stated that "We are committed to the MSMEs that represent 97% of the business fabric of Bogota and the Region to accompany them in their process of reactivation and recovery of employment. Todos Unidos responds to this objective that has generated favorable results for hundreds of companies thanks to the efforts of mentors who shared their knowledge and the commitment of the companies. We will continue working with this first group of micro and small companies to accompany them in their growth process and we will soon announce a second cycle of Todos Unidos mentoring to benefit more companies."
Some of the micro and small enterprises that received advisory services through Todos Unidos are part of the value chains of the partner companies in this initiative.
During the current year, a second cycle of advisory services will be carried out in line with the commitment of the nine companies that are part of Todos Unidos to work in favor of micro and small enterprises for their recovery and the consequent impact on the economy and employment.
