The CCB's program to support the economic reactivation of the fashion sector in 2022 was designed and strengthened based on the program that was carried out for this same sector in 2021, which benefited 1,595 MSMEs, of which more than 300 received technical assistance in brand DNA, training and support for the implementation of digital strategies, achieving an average increase in sales through these channels of 25%.
Thus, in 2022, the program will focus on supporting the sector's brands in the implementation of strategies to strengthen their presence in digital and face-to-face channels, taking into account a cross-cutting omnichannel strategy focused on the different user experiences and requirements.
Through the program, entrepreneurs in the sector will benefit from services such as:
• Fashion labs for the deployment of an omnichannel brand positioning strategy.
• Accompaniment with expert consultants for the implementation of a tactical plan to strengthen the e-Commerce strategy.
• Spaces for networking and business matching.
• Specialized sectorial training and education spaces.
• Digital tool to be developed to close supply gaps.
To assist companies interested in participating in the program, the CCB has set up a web page, www.ccb.org.co/moda, where they can learn more about the program, register and start enjoying these services. Likewise, a series of contents and free tools have been made available on this page for self-management by the participants.
The requirements to be part of this program are: to be a manufacturing company in the fashion sector with a business model aimed at end customers and to be up to date with the commercial registry.
Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the CCB, stated that "the more than 30,000 companies in the fashion sector in Bogotá and the 59 municipalities in the CCB's jurisdiction make the region the largest concentration of companies in this sector in the country, where the vast majority are MSMEs. For this reason, it is essential to support them with initiatives such as this one to boost their competitiveness and boost employment.
The dynamics of the sector
• For the third quarter of 2021, the fashion sector's GDP totaled 2.8 trillion pesos, representing 1.3% of Bogota's GDPi. In addition, the sector generated a total of 241,883 jobsii in the first half of 2021 (January - July), which evidences its importance in the regional economy and its fundamental role in economic reactivation.
• Bogota and the region have 32,448 companies related to the fashion sector, of which 42% (13,550) are manufacturing companies. Of these, 99% are MSMEs, according to figures from the commercial registry.

The CCB's commitment for 2022 is to continue implementing programs to contribute to the strengthening and consolidation of the reactivation of several of the sectors that were strongly affected by the pandemic. Thus, in addition to this program focused on the fashion sector, 3 other new programs will be launched this year that will benefit companies in the real estate, energy efficiency, beauty and wellness, drugstores and health food stores segments.
These new programs will be added to 7 others that have been implemented since 2021 to support the economic reactivation of the fashion, gastronomy, creative industries, health, tourism, digital solutions, financial and logistics, and pharmaceutical exports sectors.
