The Bogota Chamber of Commerce continues to support the strengthening of MSMEs

27 June 2023-The entity has more than 600 free services focused on strengthening MSMEs in Bogota and the Region.
-As of 2022, more than 126,013 people had access to business strengthening services.
-More than 4,185 business initiatives received personalized support from a business consultant from the Bogota Chamber of Commerce to receive advice on digital marketing, tax issues, social networks, among others.

Bogota, June 2023. As part of the commemoration of the International MSMEs Day, which is celebrated every June 27, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce reiterates its commitment to strengthening MSMEs, which currently represent 99.1% of the business fabric of Bogota and the Region.

According to data from the commercial registry of the CCB, as of May 2023, the number of active MSMEs reached 397,107, with 366,532 micro, 23,390 small, and 7,185 medium-sized companies, 54.4% of which are in services, 32% in commerce, and 13.6% in industry.

Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the CCB stated that "today, in addition to highlighting the work of those who stimulate the economy and employment, and have such a positive impact on the quality of life of those who live in Bogota and the Region, we want to reiterate our intention to continue strengthening and accompanying MSMEs with our portfolio of free services tailored to their needs".

It is worth noting that the Bogota Chamber of Commerce has a portfolio of more than 600 free services focused on increasing sales, optimizing accounting management, increasing financial indicators, among others, with which in the last year it achieved the fulfillment of more than 14. These include 1,600 related to improving productivity, increasing sales in more than 1,000 companies, defining aspects related to accounting in more than 1,700 companies, defining or adjusting the business model in more than 600 companies, and defining marketing plans in more than 700 companies.

The Bogota Chamber of Commerce also supports the visibility of MSMEs and through the free commercial platforms BazzarBog and Negocia, the former being the only free digital showcase that allows to exhibit in a personalized and unlimited way the products and services of companies in Bogota and the Region, and the latter, providing companies with the opportunity to connect, generate alliances, expand their commercial network, offer and demand products and services.

As for this year, the entity will continue to promote its training platform and the execution of valuable spaces for the projection of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises such as GoFest, presence in the Feria para tu Negocio in different locations of the city, in different trade shows of Corferias, and sectoral initiatives such as GastroFest, ModaFest, among others.
