Bogota, May 2025. The new edition of the Bogota Audiovisual Market - BAM, a program for the promotion of the audiovisual sector organized by Proimágenes Colombia and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Film Development Fund, to be held from July 14 to 18, 2025 in Bogota (Colombia), is positioned as a key meeting for the consolidation of the Colombian audiovisual ecosystem and the strengthening of intercultural dialogues between the Latin American region. This edition arrives with renewed bets on critical thinking, technological inclusion and audience training. BAM 2025 opens its doors to creators, industry agents and citizens with a diverse and provocative program.

The main spaces for discussion on Latin American cinema will be held at the Industria venue, at the Chapinero headquarters of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, where the second edition of Tanque de Pensamiento: El cine latinoamericano se piensa will bring together voices from the critical, directorial and exhibition fields to discuss the current challenges facing regional cinema. This meeting will be inaugurated with Coproducir en Latinoamérica, a section in which collaborative experiences between Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru will be presented. Along the same lines, the BAM, in alliance with the Cinema Tropical Awards and the Seminar on Audiences and Audiences of the Future, on the occasion of its 15 years of work, is organizing a space entitled So Close to the Future. Open Conversations on the Circulation of Cinema in Latin America, a series of dialogues between some representatives of the most significant exhibition experiences of the continent open to all accredited audiences to discuss the challenges of curatorial practices today, the construction of working ties at the national and regional level between theaters, festivals and screening initiatives of different natures, the promotion of national cinemas and to learn about unique distribution processes in the region.

In this edition, BAM continues its commitment to bring the sector's great ideas closer to each person who is part of the market. For this reason, representatives from leading international companies such as Sony Pictures, Disney, Cartoon Network, MUBI, Dopamine Content, Zeta Studios -producer of Élite- and Infinity Hill -producer of Argentina, 1985, nominated for an Oscar-, as well as producer Miguel Molina, nominated for a Goya, among other key figures in the audiovisual industry, will participate in the event. As part of the program and under the slogan “The senses of creating”, the BAM Talks will bring together influential figures of the international audiovisual industry, highlighting the participation of Argentine filmmaker Lucrecia Martel, one of the most relevant voices of contemporary cinema, whose work has redefined the film language from the sensory, the political and the intimate. Martel will give a keynote talk on perception, identity and resistance.

This edition will also feature Tupac Martir, multidisciplinary artist and founder of Satore Studio, who has done production design, visual effects and lighting direction for artists such as Elton John, Beyoncé, Danny Boyle, the Coachella Music and Arts Festival and the Serpentine Gallery. Martir is also recognized in the fashion industry and has worked on groundbreaking shows for Alexander McQueen, Moschino, Alexander Wang and Thomas Tait, among others. Themba Bhebhe, a reference in inclusion and diversity in the audiovisual industry, will also participate and will address the importance of creating affirmative actions with a differential population approach and the generation of public policies in the region. These and other conversations seek not only to open horizons on the present and future of audiovisual creation to our accredited audience, but also aims to bring citizens closer to these important reflections on the sector and the convergence between the arts.

Film Labs As another of its commitments, BAM will host the second edition of the Children's Film Project Laboratory, an initiative of the National Council for the Arts and Culture in Cinematography - CNACC, in partnership with the Directorate of Audiovisuals, Film and Interactive Media - DACMI of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Knowledge, aimed at Colombian creators with projects in development for children's audiences. This space seeks to strengthen the creation of stories that dialogue in a respectful and meaningful way with children, offering tools to understand their particularities and build close and authentic narrative universes. https://bogotamarket.com/
