Bogota, September 2023. Bogota Music Market - BOmm, a promotion and circulation program for the music sector of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, will hold its twelfth edition from September 11 to 15 at the Delia Zapata Olivella National Center for the Arts. BOmm seeks to promote business and open spaces for the different agents of the music industry in Colombia to find opportunities for circulation and commercialization. For this edition, the market seeks to highlight and celebrate Colombian musical traditions with an emphasis on the sounds and wisdom of the Colombian Pacific, through a program and networking spaces focused on this region of the country.

The BOmm 2023

The 217 participating artists were selected through a public call that received 1094 applications, which confirms the importance of generating circulation and strengthening programs for the music sector in the city.

In response to this need, for the past 12 years BOmm 2023 has presented various components that invite all the actors in the music sector's value chain to come into contact with different agents, audiences and themes:

- Showcases: live performances with free admission of the artists selected with the best scores awarded by the curators. In this edition, the component will have a special focus on Pacific music, so the final composition of the Showcases grid will include a relevant number of formats and groups from this region of the country.

- Conversations: academic space in which national and international professionals from the sector share their experiences, learnings and predictions about the music industry.

- Inspirational Talks: free access space in which the most relevant agents of the music industry present their experience and encourage other agents of the music value chain to develop their own initiatives.

- Business Roundtables: national and international speed-networking space in which entrepreneurs, agents and selected artists meet to negotiate, expand their contact base, meet entrepreneurs engaged in the same type of business and make strategic alliances.

- BOmm Labs: workshops with national and international industry leaders, in which relevant topics for people involved in the music industry will be addressed. This component requires prior registration.

- BOmm Nights: nightly cycle of live performances by BOmm artists in music venues such as bars and music establishments in Bogota, which seeks to strengthen the music scene and local commerce.

New for the twelfth edition

- Window: Territory focus that seeks to generate opportunities and stimulate the promotion of music markets in different regions of the country. For this first edition it will focus on the Pacific region: artists and musical groups from this region will be able to showcase their talent, as well as share their music and knowledge with a wider audience.

- Meeting of independent labels: Independent record labels have established themselves as platforms for the promotion and dissemination of Colombian music around the world. For this edition, the most influential labels of the Bogota scene will gather to participate with the musical products they represent.

Allies BOmm is possible thanks to institutional allies such as the Centro Nacional de las Artes Delia Zapata Olivella, the Instituto Distrital de las Artes (Idartes), Procolombia; and sponsors such as Alright, Amor Perfecto, Chivas Extra 13, FaroLatino, Onerpm-OnePublishing and Symphonic. Canal Capital will be a media partner.
