Bogota, April 2024. The Superintendency of Companies together with the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, are pleased to announce the successful results of the business roundtable "Business Promotion Colombia Venezuela". This event, supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Procolombia, designed to promote binational economic reactivation and the building of business confidence, has exceeded our expectations and has demonstrated the potential for cooperation between both nations.
The results at the close of the business roundtable are as follows:
- More than 500 attendees between Venezuelan and Colombian companies met in a space of collaboration and opportunities.
- 545 Business Appointments: Strategic connections were established to promote commercial exchange.
- USD 4,668,300 in Business Expectations: A reflection of the commitment and confidence in the commercial opportunities between Colombia and Venezuela.
- Sector Highlights: Food and beverages, agricultural products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, textiles, apparel, footwear and jewelry, personal and home care, manufacturing, and printing and packaging.
In addition, the event included a series of conferences where successful cases were presented from the business, financial, logistical and chamber of commerce point of view of both countries, in payment methods and in the business and logistical operations of Colombian companies in Venezuela and vice versa.
In this regard, the Superintendent of Companies, Billy Escobar Perez, stated that "This success is testimony to the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience of our companies in a context of challenges and opportunities. We sincerely appreciate the support of all participants, as well as the tireless work of our teams and allies to make this initiative a reality. Business rescue and employment protection are one of our priorities, and working hand in hand with the Chambers of Commerce has been key to achieve these spaces for business promotion for the economic reactivation of the country's companies in all regions and binationally".
The Executive President of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Ovidio Claros, stated that "The results of this meeting demonstrate once again the potential for collaboration between Colombia and Venezuela and the road we still have to travel. These achievements are also the result of hard and constant work to strengthen the business fabric of Bogota-Cundinamarca and to promote and encourage the internationalization of our companies. It is essential to recognize the role of all our entrepreneurs in this process, as their active participation and entrepreneurial vision and resilience are key to achieving our common goals. We are also grateful for the support and synergy achieved with the Superintendency of Companies and all the participants, and we reiterate our commitment to business growth in the region, so that we can continue building a prosperous and collaborative future together.

In the second half of the year, we will hold a second version of this event in Caracas with our peers from our neighboring country.
