La CCB

Bogota, June 2025. As part of its strategic and comprehensive commitment in favor of the popular economy and the fashion sector, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB), together with Corferias, will take for the first time the finished product offer of San Victorino to Createx, a commercial activity to be held on June 11, 12 and 13 at the Corferias fairgrounds (Pavilion 8).
This articulation marks a milestone in the history of Createx, one of the most relevant and prestigious fairs in the country in terms of inputs for the fashion and apparel industry, which now, under the leadership of Corferias, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce and the Apparel Cluster, makes the leap to the exhibition and sale of finished products, such as jeans, blouses, T-shirts, among other garments.
This is in addition to the robust participation of the CCB in Createx year after year. For this edition of the Fair, 16 companies that manufacture their products in the capital will participate in the inputs pavilion.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, said: "We are committed to boosting the popular economy and key areas of the fashion industry in the capital, such as San Victorino. That is why year after year we set more ambitious and disruptive goals for these sectors to increase their reach and sales, which ultimately boosts their productivity and competitiveness. Under this premise, and as part of this institutional commitment, we announce that for the first time we will bring 50 local brands from San Victorino to participate in Createx, selling their finished products.
Institutional commitment
The results obtained by the CCB in the purpose of promoting the fashion and apparel sector, as well as the popular economy, show tangible results.
During 2023 and 2024 more than 700 brands have been part of the San Victorino a la Moda program, led by the Fashion Cluster, which throughout the year offers technical assistance, accompaniment, commercial relations, participation in business rounds, among other services. Likewise, the event has had 13,000 attendees and 200 catwalks.
In addition, recently, the Bogota Fashion Week (BFW), a platform that for the second consecutive year included the participation of entrepreneurs from the Restrepo and San Victorino neighborhoods, yielded business expectations of 4 million dollars, as a result of more than 1,000 appointments between the 140 participating brands and 80 buyers from 22 countries, such as the United States, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, among others.
Also in the context of BFW, the third edition of [Puente], a CCB initiative that seeks to promote the integration of entrepreneurs from the popular economy textile sector of Bogota and Cundinamarca into this platform, was held. This year, 11 entrepreneurs from Restrepo and San Victorino participated and presented their fall-winter collection.
In fact, some of the brands that are part of the [Puente] project will take part in New York Fashion Week and the Madrid Fashion Fair (MOMAD) next September. There they will have the opportunity to present their spring-summer 2026 collections.
It is worth noting that in November 2024, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce brought for the first time the offer of 80 companies of the leather, footwear, leather goods and related products chain from the Restrepo neighborhood to the exclusive Parque 93, registering sales of over 700 million pesos during that weekend and closing business after the fair for an additional 300 million pesos.
