The Business Roundtable concluded successfully, recording 194 meetings between buyers and suppliers.
More than 194 entrepreneurs from the sector participated in the academic sessions and the Vacation and MICE Business Roundtable.
Bogotá, July 2025. With a total of COP 14.393 billion in business expectations, the Bogotá Vacation and MICE Business Roundtable (RVMBO 2025) concluded this Wednesday. The event was organized by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB), the District Institute of Tourism (IDT), and the Convention Bureau of Invest in Bogotá.
Over the course of three days, more than 194 companies took part in the event’s various activities, which included an academic session, a familiarization tour, and specialized business roundtables.
On July 14, the academic session was streamed online, drawing more than 10,000 viewers, thanks to the support of Foro Semana. National and international experts shared insights on trends and strategies in sustainability, digitalization, and innovation as applied to tourism. On July 14 and 15, international buyers took part in a familiarization trip (fam trip) to Bogotá’s most iconic locations, giving visiting entrepreneurs firsthand exposure to the city’s tourism offerings.
As part of Bogotá’s positioning as a multi-destination hub, the Stop Over strategy was presented in partnership with Avianca. This initiative allows travelers transiting through Bogotá to stay in the city at no additional cost, encouraging visits and boosting the capital’s visibility as a regional connection hub.
Finally, on July 16, the business roundtables took place. For the vacation tourism sector, buyers and sellers from key markets such as Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Spain, Costa Rica, and several Colombian regions including Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, and the Coffee Axis participated. In the MICE sector, buyers from Canada, the United States, Chile, Mexico, and Brazil attended. The event featured 15-minute meetings in an efficient and structured format that facilitated real business connections and strategic partnerships. Business expectations for this session totaled COP 581,733,500 for the vacation segment and COP 13,811,600,000 for the MICE segment, solidifying RVMBO as an effective platform for economic growth in the tourism sector.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, Executive President of the CCB, stated:
“The results of RVMBO 2025 are a testament to our institutional commitment to the competitiveness of the tourism sector. This platform drives the creation of real opportunities for entrepreneurs, fosters collaboration among key players, and contributes to the positioning of Bogotá and Cundinamarca as reliable, sustainable, and world-class destinations. RVMBO reaffirms its role as a key platform for productive linkage, tourism internationalization, and business sophistication in the region.”
Andrés Santamaría, Director of the Bogotá Tourism Office, explained:
“Today we celebrate another day of key connections for MICE and vacation tourism, driven by the Bogotá Tourism Office, together with the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and the Convention Bureau. We face the major challenge of sharing tourism products among Latin American countries to broaden the positive impact on the sector. We thank the 48 national vendors and 14 international buyers from key markets such as Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the United States, Chile, and Canada, who took part in this edition of RVMBO 2025, bringing significant economic contributions to Bogotá and further strengthening its position as a premier tourism and business destination.”
Luisa Fernanda Vásquez, Manager of the Convention Bureau at Invest in Bogotá, stated:
“The 2025 MICE fam trip was notable not only for identifying opportunities to attract world-class events but also for demonstrating how such events support foreign investment attraction. Events are key drivers of the city's economic development. This edition welcomed major decision-makers from various international companies across the value chain, who were able to deeply experience Bogotá’s unique attributes.”
Since its inception, RVMBO has become a high-value strategic space for the city’s tourism industry, promoting productive integration, business sophistication, and the opening of new markets for the local tourism offer.
