RVMBO 2023, the business conference that will bring together national and international vacation, meetings and events tourism businessmen in Bogota

19 September 2023-From September 17 to 20, Bogota's Vacation and MICE (meetings-incentives-conventions-events) Roundtable - RVMBO 2023, the main meeting for tourism business in Bogota and the region, with more than 100 attendees between buyers and sellers to make more than 900 business appointments.
-23 international buyers from Argentina, Guatemala, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil and Peru will know first hand the tourism offer of Bogota through the Fam Trips, from September 17 to 19.

Bogota, September 2023. From September 17 to 20, Bogota will host the main meeting for tourism business in the city. The Bogota Vacation and MICE (meetings-incentives-conventions-events) Roundtable - RVMBO 2023, will take place at the Bogota Chamber of Commerce Chapinero Offices.

The District Institute of Tourism - IDT-, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce - CCB, the Greater Bogota Convention Bureau and Invest in Bogota, join forces to bring to the city this event that will mark the RVMBO towards the strengthening and economic development of the tourism sector, and the positioning of the Colombian capital at national and international level.

RVMBO 2023 is expected to be the perfect scenario for attendees, among which there will be about 100 entrepreneurs as vendors, to make more than 900 business appointments with national and international entrepreneurs from Argentina, Guatemala, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil and Peru at the international level and Cali, Medellin, Manizales, Cartagena, Santa Marta, Pereira at the national level, with estimated sales expectations of more than 9,000 million pesos.

Juan Carlos Gonzalez, Vice President of Competitiveness of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce said: "The Bogota Vacation and MICE (meetings-incentives-conventions-events) Business Roundtable - RVMBO 2023, is a joint effort where we join capacities and resources for the benefit of tourism entrepreneurs in Bogota and the 59 municipalities where the Bogota Chamber of Commerce has jurisdiction. This event is fundamental within the competitiveness strategy of the tourism sector that we have been promoting from the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota through the Tourism Cluster and within which we have been accompanying most of the participating companies, allowing them to capitalize on opportunities in this type of events. We hope it will be a very productive space where many business opportunities will be generated for entrepreneurs".

Meanwhile, Andrés Clavijo, director of the IDT, said: "For the District Institute of Tourism is a priority to generate these spaces for marketing, promote business, contacts and strategic alliances with organizations interested in tourism products offered by our city, because if tourism grows, employment in the sector also grows and improves the competitiveness of Bogota. We will always be happy to receive them and we know that these spaces are generators of business, jobs and opportunities for cultural and business exchange that contribute to the economic development of Bogota and the Region".

Likewise, Paola Piza, manager of the Convention Bureau at Invest in Bogota, says: "We are pleased to develop this new edition of RVMBO to continue with the mission of attracting and attracting world-class international events, generate meeting spaces between event organizers and local supply, as well as to promote among buyers and in an experiential way, Bogota with all its facilities for the realization of memorable meetings. It is worth noting that Bogota was recently awarded as the leading business travel destination in South America by the World Travel Awards 2023 thanks to the joint work of institutions, entrepreneurs, professionals who are part of the Destination Team, and the support and trust of our clients".

From September 17 to 20, buying companies will live different experiences through fam trips designed to enjoy and learn first-hand about the gastronomic, cultural, rural, and other tourism offerings for tourists, visitors and residents.

Within the framework of this Business Roundtable, there will also be an academic agenda that seeks to strengthen the capacities of the selling companies and other tourism companies in Bogota and the region, and will feature speakers who will address topics of interest to entrepreneurs in the sector.
