From November 14 to 18, the world will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week. For this, the CCB has prepared a rich agenda that seeks to inspire and mobilize the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the city.
In recent years, the CCB has linked and accompanied more than 12,000 business ideas in its entrepreneurship route, has worked with more than 100 universities and 200 schools across the country to support 250 student ventures and has accompanied more than a thousand startups in capital raising cycles that have achieved investments of more than 2 million dollars.
By 2023, the CCB expects to strengthen its business idea incubation programs, open innovation and specialize its offer of youth entrepreneurship programs.
Bogota, November 2022. In connection with the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, to be held from November 14 to 18, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce has prepared an agenda of activities and events that seek to inspire businessmen and entrepreneurs and connect them with the entire ecosystem, to continue positioning Bogota and the Region as the Latin American capital of entrepreneurship and innovation.
To this end, the CCB will hold the Webcongress Multiverse 2022, on November 16 and 17. This is a free event for entrepreneurs and businessmen, which will address the 5 dimensions of digital transformation: physical, digital, virtual, machines and space. The Multiverse Webcongress will feature world-class speakers such as Bre Murray, founder of HYP Labs; Juan de Antonio, CEO of Cabify; Sergio Cruz, Latam Manager of TikTok; Paula Barcenas, Industry Manager of Meta; Daniel Gouldman, CEO of Unbanked, among others. The agenda also includes business matchmaking sessions, interactive expo and outdoor activities. This event will be held at the CCB's Salitre Office. Check the agenda here.
Likewise, on November 16, there will be a discussion on Innovation and Lean Startup, starting at 8:00 a.m. at Innovalab. This seeks to teach companies to adopt the Lean methodology with the intention of shortening their development cycles, measuring progress and gaining feedback from customers. It will feature two speakers of great trajectory such as Monica Ricardo and Lina Maria Cuervo.
On November 18, the CCB will hold a great Day of Entrepreneurship as an engine of innovation where activities will be developed around ideation methodologies and digital marketing, conferences on artificial intelligence, as well as networking spaces; to strengthen the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation. There will also be a sample of entrepreneurial projects of schools, which is the result of the program that the CCB has carried out with 50 schools in Bogota and the region, which seeks to activate and enhance entrepreneurial skills in students in their final years of school. This will take place at the headquarters and business center Chapinero of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota.
There will also be talks with partners and prominent speakers such as Mercado Libre and Ouali Benmeziane, serial entrepreneur from France and creator of the Webcongress.
CCB's support to entrepreneurship
The Bogota Chamber of Commerce sees entrepreneurship as an engine of development in the city. This is why a large part of its offer is aimed at promoting innovation in companies and organizations and supporting the incubation of new businesses.
For example, more than 40,000 people have interacted with the CCB's virtual content seeking to identify new lines of business and/or the opportunity to create Startups. In the last 3 years, the CCB has validated more than 600 projects.
Likewise, it has worked with more than 100 universities throughout the country, where 250 university projects have been accompanied and working in coordination with 570 teachers. In innovation, the CCB has conducted more than 420 workshops attended by some 11,000 people. In total, more than 17,482 people have been advised. More than 500 companies have been certified, of which 193 were awarded the Seal of Good Innovation Practices, which was developed jointly with ICONTEC.
Regarding Capital Raising Cycles, during 2021 and 2022, 1,243 startups have been trained; 111 were presented to investors and 14 investments were made for more than 2 million dollars.
Finally, with its acceleration program for technology-based startups led by women - Mujeres TECH - 8 cycles have been carried out, in which 112 startups have participated.
