Bogotá, April 10, 2024. The World Chambers of Commerce Federation appointed Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, as a member of its board of directors. This organization represents the interests of more than 12,000 chambers and 45 million companies in more than 100 countries.
The president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce was elected to contribute to the leadership of this organization, a period that began last April 5 until June 30, 2025.
"Belonging to the board of directors of the World Chambers Federation is a recognition of the work carried out in favor of the business fabric at the international level. It is an opportunity to make the productive sector more visible, expand the international contacts of businessmen and thus open new opportunities abroad, as well as promote investment in Colombia," said the president of the CCB.
Thanks to this participation, the entity will be able to promote internationally the strategic focuses that it has outlined, such as promoting business strengthening, support for the popular economy and MSMEs.
