During the event to recognize entrepreneurs, who through their stories have vindicated the role of entrepreneurs in building a more equitable and prosperous society, the Chamber of Commerce released figures that show that the city and the region are very close to consolidating the economic recovery, measured by the number of companies created and active.
According to Nicolás Uribe Rueda, executive president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, "the current fabric of the business sector in Bogota and the Region is made up of 93.1% micro-enterprises, 4.9% small and 1.4% medium-sized companies. Thanks to the good performance of the business sector, there has been a decrease in the unemployment rate in Bogota for the month of July 2022, of 4.6 percentage points compared to the same period in 2021, standing at 10.8%".
This behavior shows that the city and the region are on a solid path of recovery in business dynamics, hand in hand with micro-enterprises.
