Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, businessmen in Bogota and the region continue to move forward. As of March 31, more than 488,000 business registration renewals of companies with their commercial establishments were carried out.
The total number of renewed productive units registered an increase of approximately 4% with respect to the same renewal period of 2021 and a slight decrease of 1% compared to 2019, the comparable year prior to the pandemic.
There was a significant increase in the use of virtual services. Of the total number of renewals, we were able to maintain 95% of the forms filled out virtually, as was recorded during 2021. Of these entrepreneurs who renewed virtually, 69% made the payment through the entity's portal www.ccb.org.co or in a bank, which represented a similar behavior to the year 2021.
It is worth highlighting the efforts of close to 24,869 entrepreneurs who, despite not having had any activity in 2021, have updated the registration of their companies for the years 2021 and 2022.
Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the CCB, assured that "These results of the registration renewal show us the strength of the business fabric, its resilience and its commitment to move forward. From the CCB we remain committed to the consolidation of the business reactivation and therefore we will continue accompanying entrepreneurs and businessmen through our services to boost their sales, transform their businesses and thereby contribute to the recovery of employment".
Entrepreneurs who renewed their commercial registration will be able to access more than 1,000 services, most of which are free, to strengthen and transform their businesses, increase sales, access platforms such as Bazzarbog to enter e-commerce, or access the Business Financing Program, where we provide training and support to access credit available with one of the best market conditions for MSMEs".
The CCB will continue accompanying entrepreneurs until December 31 to consolidate their reactivation process.
