Bogota, October 30, 2024. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) will hold a trade fair in the exclusive Parque de la 93 from November 15 to 17 of this year, where merchants of the traditional Restrepo neighborhood will have the opportunity to kick off the end-of-year season by exhibiting their leather, footwear, leather goods and related products.

The activity, which will be free of charge, is led by the CCB and has the support of the Local Mayor's Office of Antonio Nariño, the Mayor's Office of Bogota and the Friends of Parque 93 Association.

Entrepreneurs interested in applying to the Fair must meet the following requirements:

• Have commercial registration renewed to the year 2024.

• Be a manufacturer in the leather, footwear, leather goods and related sectors in the district of Antonio Nariño.

• To have the products and the necessary personnel to attend the Fair from November 15 to 17, between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, said: “This Fair in Parque de la 93 is an activity that ratifies our commitment to the business growth of the popular economy and confirms our commitment to the merchants of Restrepo, as well as the different sectors of the economy of Bogota and the region. From the CCB, we believe that this is a great opportunity for the merchants of this traditional neighborhood of the capital to expand their market, generate additional sales and conquer a new audience for their products”.

Once the application has been accepted, the criteria that will be taken into account for the selection of the companies participating in the event will be:

• Higher score for the company that has participated in business strengthening programs of the CCB, Local Mayor's Office of Antonio Nariño and/or District Secretariat of Economic Development.

• Higher score to the company with greater product differentiation, i.e. design proposal and the inclusion of innovative elements.

• Higher score for the company with the best brand DNA and communication. The logo, active social networks and brand history will be evaluated.

This fair in the Restrepo neighborhood in Parque de la 93 is part of the CCB's commitment to strengthen and promote the merchants of this area of the city through a series of actions that have been implemented in the second half of this year.

On October 1, the CCB launched the Fashion Experience and Learning Center in Restrepo, with the aim of promoting and accelerating the strengthening of companies in the leather, footwear and leather goods sector and offering them a space for inspiration, connection and transformation.

Likewise, between November 29 and December 8, the CCB will carry out a commercial activation with the aim of attracting buyers from Bogota and the region to the Restrepo to advance their purchases for the end-of-year season.
